oadvent7.jpgKayak Fishing is one of the most successful ways to catch fish. The adventure and challenge offer an experience which can only be found while kayak fishing. The kayaks ability to quietly glide along undetected through water, gives the angler an advantage when actively hunting out fish holding up around structure, shallow water areas and everywhere fish can be found.

We have been running for 3 years - New Zealands original off-shore adventure for the kayak fishing enthusiast using a mothership as a base!

The M.V Taiho acts as a mothership to transport both kayak and angler to places virtually unfished from kayaks. During your time out at one of the many locations you will be guided by Rob which can involve any style of fishing like jigging, softbait, lures and trolling. If the weather allows we will visit some remote submerged pinnacles surrounded by deep water offering kingfish and other species like terakihi and hapuka.

Sure to be an action packed adventure with plenty of excitement at the prospect of hunting species not normally accessible from the mainland. You will also experience some stunning scenery on our way from each different location as well as kayaking in prestine country.  We cater for all other persons like partners, family and friends who may want to come and experience the adventure without doing any fishing.

taiho05.jpgVarious options are availble catering for those who do not require the assistance of a kayak fishing guide.

For all guided adventures participants will be looked after by Professional Kayak Fishing Angler/guide Rob Fort. Rob is regarded as one of the most experienced kayak anglers in New Zealand with more hours spent kayak fishing each year than any other person. He has a wealth of knowledge on the environment both above and below the water and has spent many years fishing and diving from kayaks in the areas you will visit. Owner/operator of New Zealand's number one kayak fishing company Coromandel Kayak Adventures. His role in the business is the fishing guide and he has educated many on the subject of kayak fishing.

Rob will ensure you use the right techniques for the target species and can provide all the knowledge you need to be successful on your adventure. Not only will Rob take care of any fishing requirements but also as a chef/host along with skipper Peter during your time onboard.  As hosts both Rob and Peter really lay on the service with an emphasis placed on taking care of all your tea/coffee, cooking needs and the service has been described by clients as 'treated like royalty".
